Japanese greengages are a genotypes of Asian plum, or even cherry plum. They have thin leaves; fruits that are lighter green when ripe than European greengages; and (the easiest indication) tartness next to the skin and stone. They have a bright flesh and, wow, do they make an extraordinary jam.
We know one farmer who grows this fruit - Flora Bella - has it for 2 weeks. We got a call from Dawn and James - "Want it all?" The answer was, Yes.
Custom Label, in a jar with 2 more ounces than our normal Sqirl Jam. 500 Jars made.
